The word "chemtrail" ...

Great debate exists around this seemingly sensible compound creation.  After all, what are those things?  They're some kind of trail in the sky, but they're not contrails, and "chem" seems as good a prefix as any ... "chem" short for "chemical"?  Yet the top researchers deplore the word, some saying they can't prove anything in the spray that's chemical, others saying that thanks to the Air Force's [now-removed] web page on the chemtrail hoax, anyone who Googles chemtrails is going to turn up enough residue from this to dismiss them.  Yet others (researchers, that is -- and these are careful people bound to using precision) say they can't prove anything is being SPRAYED ... all we see are what appear to be airplanes leaving white lines behind them (could be exhaust, not spray).

Therefore, you're on your own.  How about "skytrails"?  If you don't like that, there's "aerosols" or "aerosol operation," but precision hunters will tell you they can't prove there's an operation (it's been denied, remember?).  There's "chaff," "grids," "lines in the sky," "persistent contrails."  The odd fact of the matter is that most ordinary folk can't see the trails unless you or I point to them directly and give a guided tour of how they fan out and morph into "clouds."  Once you do this, there's a chance they will be able to notice it themselves.  But that chance is not a great one.  Too often, Joe and Josie Public continue on with their lives and keep waiting for the government to save them.  (Read this for a look at how the masses are professionally fooled.)
